Welcome to Project Imola, the quickest and most stylish way to go back in time! Remember the wonderful bevel drive Dukes of the 1970's? Paul Smart's Imola 200 winning 750SS, Mike Hailwood's all conquering NCR or the range of exquisite road 'bikes that were unrivalled but cost more than Zsa Zsa Gabor to look after! The Brainchild of John Baines, Project Imola is an ingenius amalgam of old and new. Whilst the 70's machines were unrivalled in their time as out and out sports bikes their reliability was not top drawer and servicing costs could be crippling. What we have done is emulate the style and nimble feel of the bevels and combined it with the performance, reliability and relative simplicity of the modern 900SS belt drive motorcycle. |

The basic kit comprises of hand made frame in T45 (other materials can be specified), swinging arm, shock absorbers, conti replica silencers, clip ons, chain guard, full bodykit & seatpad, front & rear lights and fuel cell. We even include a bag of cable ties and stainless allen bolts to complete the job! What you need is a 900, 750 or 600SS or monster to use as a donor 'bike. Obviously the engine is the first thing you need but very little goes to waste. Other items which fit straight on are the wheels, front suspension and yokes, full wiring loom and numerous ancilliaries. We can supply you with a basic kit for you to build at home or should you wish we can take on the project for you and deliver your dream 'bike straight into your hands. If desired, we can even find you a donor 'bike to get the ball rolling. We are in the process of sourcing and manufacturing a range of quality add-ons that can only enhance your machine and make it look even more like the icon that it emulates. So cosmetic perfection isn't in question but that doesn't mean that we've neglected the mechanical side of things.........Au contraire! Years of experience and enthusiasm both on and off the track has taught us exactly what works best for your engine or suspension regardless of the degree of tune you're after. Project Imola is not just an attractive dream that may or may not eventually rumble into production. Unlike so many 'specials' this 'bike really works and outperforms it's mentor in every way and we can prove it........We have two prototypes built now that show different levels of available spec' and one of these is available for test rides to serious enquiries. So, is the sun out? Yes? Well then, come over for a cup of tea and bring your crash helmet and cheque book! |
